I’m Andy. I’m in long term recovery, having previously struggled with mental health and associated addiction issues. Using my lived experiences to help others, I have been working in the field of promoting good mental and physical health and recovery for over eight years. Mental health, addiction and recovery are individual experiences, and I believe it is vital to take personal responsibility and ownership of them.

These challenges can also affect anyone, often unexpectedly. However, from low points in life, strong foundations can be built on which to thrive. Understanding and support are important on this journey. Resources such as this, promoting conversation and reflection, contributing to education and social awareness are much needed, creating stronger communities based on a culture of compassion and hope rather than judgement.
